Self evaluation
In 'The Problem' link on the course page under the heading 'Constraints/Limitations' you will find five bullet points. These are the design parameters that hopefully whilst producing your lamp you were working within. Using the bullet points as talking points write a paragraph describing how well your lamp fulfilled these design parameters
When making my lamp I made sure to follow all five requirements/rules except one. I used two different materials recycled wood & orange laminate. For my light I used a incandescent globe, I didn't use LED's so I didn't use anymore than 6 & my light was finished before the deadline date. The one requirements/rule I didn't unfortanatly follow was completing my light at school becuase I completed it at home.
My lamp is modern, unique and large. I think my lamp stands out from the rest of my class this is because its bigger and the orange laminate brings a pop a clolour to the light.
When you first set about sketching ideas for your lamp, what was it you were hoping to achieve from the lamp when it was lit?
I wanted to make a good quility modern light that stood out and was unique.
Do you feel you achieved this? Explain?
I feel I did achieve this, I enjoy the look, the way I constructed it and its functions
What objective evidence do you have that you achieved this?
I have my lamp and that's all the evidence I need.
- Must use two or more materials
- Must use either LED's, tealight or incandescant globe as the light source.
- Maximum of 6 LED's Can be used per student
- Must be constucted in the workshop
- Must be finished in 13 weeks
